What is Consignment? – Here Is How It Works

• We accept Women’s and Junior’s casual and after 5 O’ Clock Attire.
  (No suits or wedding gowns please.)
• Accessories: handbags, shoes, belts, hats, scarves, sunglasses & jewelry.
• You will receive 40% of the selling price.
• Clothes must be in new or excellent condition, purchased in the last 2-3 years at the outside.

What is Consignment?

Do you have clothes in your closet you have not worn for over a year? Clothes that are too small, too big, gifts that are not to your taste? Consignment shops connect your underloved clothing items with new owners who will adore them!

Unlike thrift stores, only top quality resale consignment items are accepted. We look for name brand, designer and top quality labels that experience has shown will sell well.

When you agree to consign your at a consignment store, you’re a consignor. You still own your clothing, jewelry, handbags, or accessories during the consignment period, but give the rights to sell these items to the consignment shop, which is the consignee.

The consignment store pays all the overhead, displays your clothes, advertises for you, and waits on all your potential customers for a fee. You’re in business for yourself with no upfront costs! You will receive 40% of the selling price.

The Consignment Period Is 60 Days

At the end of 60 days, unsold clothing becomes the property of the consignment shop,Bella’s Consignment Boutique, and may be donated. Bring only items you are at a true crossroads with and no longer want, as clothing is not returned after the consignment period. (The exception: Select high-end handbags & quality jewelry may be identified for pick-up if not sold, if specified.)

Ready to Wear Condition

May we stress that clothing must be freshly laundered or dry cleaned and pressed. Items must be free of smoke, mildew, or perfume odors. No stained, pilled or snagged items will be accepted, and all buttons must be present and zippers in working condition. Customers are looking for clean and ready to wear items.

Bring Items in on Hangers

(Hangers will be returned to you upon request.) Jeans may be neatly folded. (20 item max, per visit.) Items are accepted by appointment only.
